There are many places to stay in and around Bukit Lawang, depending on your preferences and needs.
Most of the guesthouses in Bukit Lawang are situated along Bahorok River, with views of the Gunung Leuser National Park and with the sounds of frogs and cicadas. There are guesthouses to suit everyones budget, from something quite simple to something a little more luxurious.

Guesthouses in Bukit Lawang
Eriono Guesthouse & Restaurant
Eriono Guesthouse and Restaurant is located in the heart of Bukit Lawang with stunning views of the Gunung Leuser National Park and Bahorok River. They have a restaurant that serves Asian and Western food. Great place ro relax,eat great food and socialise with locals.

Family room - Upstairs. Large spacious with double bed and space for another mattress. Simple bathroom. Price IDR 350 - 450,000
Double Bed Suite - First floor with balcony. Large double bed with ensuite bathroom. Price IDR 300,000
Budget Double Room - ground floor room with ensuite batthroom. Sitting area outside. Price: IDR 250,000.
Lawang Inn & Restaurant
Lawang Inn and Restaurant is located in the heart of Bukit Lawang, just oppposite from Eriono. Local style building with western facilities. Run by a lovely lady Maia who cooks amazing food and makes home-made brown bread.
Restaurant area is large, on two floors. Greeat place to relax.

2 x Double Room - Located at the back in a traditonal 2 floor bunglow. Both with garden view and balconies. Price IDR 150,000 - 250,000
Triple/Family Room - By the restaurant a large room with a double bed, single bed and sitting area. From IDR 300,000
Riverside Guesthouse
Riverside Guesthouse is located further along Bahorok river. Its owned and run by a French-Indonesian couple who are super friendly. The upper floor has a terrace with views of the surrounding jungle. Four rooms which are all spacious with western facilities.

Double Rooms: On the ground floor with a terrace. Tiled floor with bamboo table and shelves. Simple bathroom with shower and western toilet. Price IDR 200,000 - 250,000
Triple Room: Double bed and a single bed. Spacious tiled room with basic bathroom. Price IDR 250,000 - 400,000
Family room: Located on the first floor with a large double bed. Very spacious tiled room with a balacony and lovely views. Price IDR 350,000 - 450,000

Villa Mangga
HomeStays
HomeStays are located outside touristy Bukit Lawang, about 30 mins walk away. Staying with a local family it a great way to get a feel for village life, see how local people live and work. They will make you feel extremely welcome and will happily involve you their activites.
Erna's HomeStay
Erna's Homestay is located a village not far from Bukit Lawang. The guesthouse is a traditional home made of concrete and bamboo weaved walls. It is surrounded by rice paddies and local houses. Erna is an amazing lady who will make you feel at home and speaks good English. She lives with her husband and two children. Her garden is filled of beautiful plants and fruit trees.
The rooms are located upstairs with a private balcony and seating area.
2 x Double room - Large bamboo double bed with desk and bathroom with western facilities. From IDR 200,000
Erna has a small Eco-farm not far from her house which she and her husband manage together. She sometimes has volunteers which also stay at the house. If your interested in helping out at the farm or volunteering, take a look here.
